Here we understand that music is not an end in itself. Our purpose is worship.
 

 
"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24, ESV

 
Worship is not something we do for an hour on Sunday mornings so that we can say to ourselves that we have done our duty to God.  Instead, our Sunday morning worship is merely an exclamation point in the story of our lives. Lives lived in obedience to God. Lives sacrificed for Him in loving response to the amazing sacrifice which He made for us, Lives which are worship! 
 
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1. ESV



At First Baptist Church of Pell City, we understand that music is a vessel. It is a vessel to carry our praise to the Almighty God and it is a vessel to carry the prophetic message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Because this message must go out to all the world, we must strive make it as accessible to the world as possible. At First Baptist Church of Pell City we have both TRADITIONAL and CONTEMPORARY styled worship services as well as SEASONAL PROGRAMS and special services which are just the beginnings of that task.

We also have children’s programs to include our young and future worshipers, teaching them how to worship and offering them opportunities to be worship leaders.
